This stem bumper glide fits a 1/4" hole, and is flat to fit flush against a flat tube. The diameter of this foot glide's round base is 3/4", and the shaft measures 1/2" long without the head. These patio chair parts are made of nylon and must be hammered into place; the sides of the stems will be shaved down for a tight fit and to secure them in place.
