This disk cap glide will fit over a 1 7/16" flange or disk. Some models of furniture (primarily older steel products) have a disk welded onto the bottom of a smaller tube. The metal disk is thin and needs to be protected by this clear vinyl glide. This disk cap glide is 3/16" deep so the metal disk should not be any thicker.
