  6. Work great! Review by PedDok

I was happy to find these to replace missing inserts on a gifted 2nd-hand set of wrought iron patio chairs. They were a tight fit and it took me a couple trials until I figured out how to finagle them into place, but once accomplished the fit should keep them from going missing again. After painting the chairs and applying the inserts, they are like new! And the price is great as well. (Posted on 7/1/2017)

  7. Round Insert Cap Glide 1 1/4 Review by Ernie

I used these on my wrought iron patio set. They worked perfectly. They were listed as inserts for aluminum but I was having trouble finding the size that matched my chairs. These looked to be about right. The only small snafu was that they are maybe a 1/4 of and inch too deep. In order to have them flush with the end of the chair legs, I used a dremel to shave off that amount. (Posted on 6/19/2017)

The glide cannot be hammered straight in. Tilt one end of the glide into the steel weld cup at an angle, holding it in place with a thumb. Hammer the glide around all the edges to squeeze it into the cup, being careful to avoid hitting your thumb. Ridges on the outside of the part will be shaved off when hammered in, assuring a tight fit and securing the glide in the weld cup.
