Stretcher Bar ToolI’m so glad we rented the stretcher tool. It made the job easier. 6 chairs, 1 2-seat glider and a chaise. My husband is strong but definitely needed some stretching strength from the tool! Letting you know how beautiful the replacement slings look!! Thank you for your support with my questions and pics of the set when ordering. You were right on about the sizes! We are 71 and 73 years old, hesitant about taking on the task and though it took some “elbow grease” and strength to resling the large set but we did it in 2 days!!! Looks brand new! If it lasts as long as the other slings we’ll be pushing 90!! lol ? Loretta

My deck chairs needed new slings.Patio Furniture Supplies filled my request for 6 new slings. Very satisfied. I stretched the 6 deck chairs. Could not have done the same without this tool.

Heavy duty stretcher works great, but needed a 'tweak'I disassembled four Carter Grandle chairs and had the frames powder coated, replacing all of the plastic parts and installed new slings which I bought from Patio Furniture Supplies. I am a General Contractor and, as a result, have lots of esoteric tools. After installing the new slings and re-assembling the chairs, I was over-confident that I could easily put in the two support bars. After trying every tool in my workshop to stretch the frame for that I finally came to the conclusion that I needed this tool. After the stretcher bar repeated popped off the frame, scratching my newly painted surface, I came up with a solution that worked great. I used two quick-clamps, one on each side, to force the stretcher bar to stay in place. Perfect. The remaining chairs were a cinch to stretch enough to easily position the support bars and release the pressure. The chairs are like new.
