This disk cap glide fits over a metal flange or disk with an outside diameter of 1 7/16"; US standard size, not metric. Glide is 3/16" deep so the disk should not be any thicker; overall height is 9/32". Some models of furniture (primarily older steel products) have a thin metal disk welded onto the bottom of a smaller tube and the glide protects the disk.
